This modality is a pain-free solution to tight immobile soft tissue. It improves the mobility of your nerves and the flexibility of your muscles thru a dynamic assisted stretching protocol that is tailored to the person on the table. Other methods focus on isolated muscle stretching which can be uncomfortable or even painful with the results are temporary.

80-minute sessions with our Expert or Senior Level Instructors who use their expertise in a variety of these modalities to help clients achieve their goals faster.

I recently became a  Polestar Pilates Instructor through Cornerstone Pilates Studio and give total credit for this accomplishment to Cornerstone Pilates’s wonderful apprenticeship program. I found the apprenticeship program to be well-organized and thorough. This program helped me gain a good understanding of the exercises, practice designing sessions, and teaching these sessions in a supportive environment.  My questions were welcomed, and guidance was provided on self-practice of the exercises and various teaching aspects. As part of the program, we had multiple review sessions of the course materials and were able to practice teaching on a consistent basis. The program also covered information on the structure of the virtual and in-person exams. I really appreciated the mock runs of the in-person exam which totally built my confidence and felt prepared going into the exam. Becoming a Pilates Instructor was on my bucket list and was able to achieve this goal because of Cornerstone’s Apprentice Program. I would 100% recommend signing up for Cornerstone's Pilates Apprentice Program.

Thank you,

Deena

I am currently in the Polestar Pilates teacher training that is currently being taught at Michelle's studio.
Since day one, Michelle has welcomed me with open arms!

She has gone above and beyond helping me learn and grow as a Pilates instructor and her Apprentice Program is one of the greatest assets for any budding Pilates instructor.

The knowledge and understanding she has of Pilates and the human body are absolutely incredible.
She has not only helped me understand how to conform exercises to fit my body, but she has also shown me amazing ways to help clients achieve exercises they never thought possible or would originally cause them pain.
The studio is absolutely breathtaking, everyone there is incredibly kind and encouraging, and I truly cannot express how phenomenal the entire experience has been!

Wanted to thank you for talking me into trying Pilates. It has been a great start for me to get back in shape and build up my core strength and flexibility. It is exactly what you have been telling us on how Pilates can help the body. Since I have started doing Pilates with you, I have improved my golf game substantially, which was one of my goals for doing it in the first place. I was not sure what to expect, but figured I would give it a try. Want to let you know that all my golfing buddies have noticed an huge improvement in my game, hitting it farther and playing all around better. The little bit of more flexibility and strength is a major contribution to my golf improvement. In fact just recently I won the member/member tournament at my club and came in second place at a charity event yesterday. Want to thank you for helping me on that. Feeling stronger and being more flexible is fantastic. I have been recommending Pilates to all my hockey and golfing buddies. Thanks again.

For #MarchMatness today, we’re bringing you a more advanced exercise that shows off your incredible strength as a mover.
Strong shoulders and arms? ✔️
Active abdominals muscles to help support the whole body?✔️

Every aspect of the body must be aligned, connected, and strong enough to work together to successfully complete this exercise.
And, once you do, you truly feel like a superhero!

Bringing you Saw on this beautiful Tuesday!
(No, not the horror movie franchise)

This exercise is all about working on rotation of the torso/spine, hamstring flexibility, and low back strengthening.
Saw is deceptive, as we’ve come to learn with a lot of our exercises.
If an individual is dealing with tight hamstrings/low back issues, this can be an uncomfortable position for someone to sit in, much less twist and move their body.

But once you’re able to, it truly feels amazing for the spine, back, and legs!🎉

#MarchMatness Time🎉🎉🎉

Today we’re bringing you Side Lying Legs
If you’re like a lot of us who neglect the side hip/outside of the leg when you’re moving your body, you’re definitely going to feel this one!

These are just a few variations that an individual can do help strengthen their inner and outer thighs, work on hip mobility, and core strength (it’s actually quite difficult to hold the body to steady while rocking these exercises!)
Plus, it’s low impact, so it’s easily accessible to a wide range of individuals…Who doesn’t love that?

Don’t we all love a good Twist?

Today on #MarchMatness, we’re bringing you Spine Twist! A deceptive exercise that looks easy, but, when done correctly, can really work the whole body!

Obviously it helps with spinal flexibility and mobility, but it’s also a great exercise for breath, hamstring flexibility, balance, and posture!

Definitely a crowd pleaser in any session.

#MarchMatness
Day 19💪🏻

Today we’re looking at Swan
Like every other mat exercise, this one looks deceiving.
Every single part of the body has to be connected, supported, and focused on the task at hand to successfully create the Swan exercise.
Is it a lot of arms? For sure.
Does it incorporate extension? Obviously.

But the core is also active (duh.)
The legs are supporting the body as it comes up to prevent dumping in the low back.
And the back is working to protect the spine while in extension.

It’s a fun exercise!
But it’s also a little silly when we have to warn our clients “now be careful not to go too far and hit your face!”
(Some of us speak from experience….🤣)

Happy #MarchMatness Monday🎉🎉🎉

Today we’re bringing you a full body workout with Leg Pull Front…Think of a Plank 2.0.
This exercise works every single muscle in the body.
Your core is on to support your back, to keep you from dumping.
Your arms are holding you up.
Your legs are having to keep their strength and balance so you don’t topple over when lifting the other one.

If you’re feeling a Monday Mat Challenge, this is the exercise to do!
