Christine has been taking Pilates since 2015 and teaching since 2022. She is comprehensively certified to teach Pilates through Polestar Pilates, is a certified Buff Bones Instructor, and a Rossiter Level 2 Coach. Christine teaches private Pilates and Movement Integration Sessions as well as group classes at Cornerstone. She has experience working with clients with Osteoporosis, hip and knee replacements, back and shoulder issues, and everyday movers of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. She also loves to work with athletes and weekend warriors to challenge and build strength and stamina. In addition to teaching, Christine is the studio manager at Cornerstone Pilates.
Christine has always loved to be active. Exercise has been a constant throughout her life and career in the mental health field and higher education. She is happiest and feels the best when she consistently incorporates some type of movement and exercise into her day, whether it’s Pilates, rollerblading, weight-lifting, strength & cardio classes at the gym, biking, walking, swimming, hiking, dancing, or yoga. She has found that in addition to the many benefits it has to offer for body, mind, and spirit, Pilates is invaluable for our overall fitness goals at any age, at any performance level, and for helping prevent, manage, and recover from injury and pain.
Once she began to experience the benefits of Pilates, Christine immediately wanted to delve deeper and learn how to share the joy and lifelong benefits of Pilates with others. She joined the Polestar Pilates Teacher Training Program and trained as an Apprentice with the Tom Landry Center in Dallas, Pilates for Life in Allen, and at Cornerstone Pilates and completed full certification in 2022. Since then, she completed the year-long Resident Program at Cornerstone Pilates and continues to learn by attending weekly teachers labs, taking private sessions regularly, attending Polestar webinars, and seeking out additional education wherever she can. She has also completed the Pilates for Buff Bones Training (a specialized program for Osteoporosis) and is a certified Buff Bones Instructor.
Christine has trained in the Rossiter System, a dynamic system of stretching that dramatically reduces pain and held tension. She uses this in Movement Integration Sessions as needed to help clients find ease in their bodies and move with less tension and pain. She is also trained to use the SmartSpine products to incorporate heat and assisted stretches into her sessions. She loves pulling from all of these modalities to create well-rounded sessions for her clients so that they can feel stronger, more connected in their bodies, and free of unnecessary tension.
