Welcome to Cornerstone Pilates, a restorative movement studio, in Richardson Texas. We take a therapeutic approach to restoring the body to a state of optimal physical fitness. The goal is to identify and correct movement patterns that are creating dysfunction in the body, then challenge the body in functional alignment to build new and lasting patterns.
These one-on-one or small group sessions are customized for clients of any age, shape, size, or skill level. Everyone should expect to feel energized, centered, lengthened and strengthened at the end of a Restorative Movement session.

Bringing you Saw on this beautiful Tuesday!
(No, not the horror movie franchise)
This exercise is all about working on rotation of the torso/spine, hamstring flexibility, and low back strengthening.
Saw is deceptive, as we’ve come to learn with a lot of our exercises.
If an individual is dealing with tight hamstrings/low back issues, this can be an uncomfortable position for someone to sit in, much less twist and move their body.
But once you’re able to, it truly feels amazing for the spine, back, and legs!🎉

Covid-19 Studio Policies
At Cornerstone Pilates we are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe and sanitary environment for our community.
We serve a wide range of clients, many of whom are over 65 or have varying health complications but have found Pilates as a way to enhance their quality of life. The movement work we do is very important for overall health, immune function, stress release, and vitality. Our studio acknowledges the need to be extra vigilant at this time and will be strictly adhering to the following protocols to help reduce the risk of spreading pathogens while continuing to offer the health benefits of Pilates.
- We have divided time so that only one instructor and one client are in the studio at a time for private sessions.
- Equipment has been spaced 6 feet apart for duets and group classes of 3.
- Sessions will be strictly 50 or 80 minutes to allow us time to sanitize in between and for one client to leave the building before the next enters.
- The front door will be locked during sessions and open between sessions. Clients may enter and leave when the door is open.
- We have the Hyper-Hepa air filter running all day – this filters particles up to 10x smaller than viruses out of the air.
- We use professional-grade sanitizer on all equipment between each session.
- We are practicing social distancing as much as possible. We will teach from more than 6 feet away as much as possible.
- We wear masks while teaching high-risk clients or classes.
- We wash and sanitize our hands frequently.
- We will cancel classes if we or anyone in our household is feeling unwell or if anyone who has been in the studio becomes sick.
We ask our community to adhere to the following recommendations in order to help protect the most vulnerable among us.
- We ask all clients to wait until their class time to enter the studio and to leave immediately after to help us avoid contact as much as possible.
- We recommend wearing masks when entering and leaving the studio if any other clients are around (such as during classes).
- Due to our focus on breath work, we do not recommend clients wear masks during class, though they may if it makes them more comfortable.
- We are reminding clients to be mindful of social distancing when other clients are in the studio.
- We are all washing hands thoroughly before and after each session, and clients are welcome to bring and wear gloves during sessions.
- There will be no charge for cancellation for sickness. We ask that clients cancel at the first sign of sickness or after exposure to anyone sick.
- We ask clients to check their phones before coming to class in case we have to make last-minute cancellations due to illness.
We offer online classes and private sessions for those who prefer to continue their practice from home. Ask us for details.
