Apprentice Program

For Students currently in a teacher training program

Through your training program, you receive the knowledge necessary to be a Pilates Instructor. We offer the critical additional step of support throughout the process. Knowledgeable seasoned instructors will help you navigate your practice teaching, self-practice, and observation hours. You will receive valuable feedback and support every step of the way. We also offer a pathway to a paid teaching job.

You will have unparalleled support at Cornerstone Pilates in our Apprenticeship program.

Apprenticeship Program – $250 per month includes:

Unlimited free Classes (space permitting)
Unlimited Observation
Use of Pilates Equipment for self-practice (space permitting)
2 free privates per month from Resident Teacher, may purchase additional RT privates @ $50
10% off all studio services.

Class Assisting: 15 of your observation hours must be spent assisting in group classes.

Weekly Apprentice Review Lab (attendance required)

one hour supervised review, 2 hours supervised practice teaching

Additional supervised practice teaching hours may be booked at $25/hour.

To become a paid studio apprentice you must have completed:

60 hours of supervised practice teaching
30 hours of observation (at least 15 hours of this must be class assisting)
60 hours of self-practice (must include attending at least 30 apprentice labs)

A typical weekly schedule would be:

Attend one group class or one Resident private (1 hr self-practice)

Observe one private session or assist one group class (1 hr observation)

Attend Apprentice Lab (1 hr self-practice, 2 hrs practice teaching)

Weekly total: 2 hrs self-practice, 2 hrs practice teaching, 1 hr observation

Once you pass your certification exam, you may apply to join our Residency Program.

I found the apprenticeship program to be well-organized and thorough.
